The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon E (often listed as the Debut E Carbon) is a specialized edition of the world-renowned Debut series, designed to offer high-end materials at a more accessible price point. While it maintains the classic minimalist aesthetic that made the series famous, it focuses on the core components that affect sound quality: a rigid plinth, a precise motor, and an exceptional tonearm.

The standout feature is the 8.6-inch one-piece carbon fiber tonearm, a premium material usually reserved for much more expensive turntables. This lightweight yet incredibly stiff arm reduces unwanted resonances and provides a stable platform for the pre-mounted Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. To ensure stable playback, the "E" edition includes a heavy steel platter and a high-precision belt drive system with an electronic speed switch hidden discreetly on the bottom of the chassis. This allows you to toggle between 33 and 45 RPM at the touch of a button, avoiding the hassle of manual belt adjustments.
